HuffPost reporting in a new Netflix commissioned survey:
To 73 percent of streamers, binge-watching consists of "watching between 2-6 episodes of the same TV show in one sitting."
Stick this one in the no-shit file. Anyone who has watched basic cable in the last decade. Networks like E! and USA are built around rerunning 12 hours worth of a single program.
Maybe the surprise here is Netflix's customers have a positive feeling about the "binge-watching". But I think has more to do with the relative quality the programming. Who wants to go into work on Monday and say "guys, I spend 9 hours watching Petopia — you have to watch!"
