Hey! Something happened. After three weeks of so-so episodes, 24 was finally back it form. Bauer and SA Renee Walker alone with Buchanan work with the president to recover the First Gentleman and stop Dubaku. Some torture stats:
Official Torture: n/a
Terrorist Torture: Attempt 1 / success 1 / accurate 0
Bauer Torture: Attempt 1 / success 1 / accurate 1
Two very interesting scenes in this episode. The first is a conversation between Bauer, Walker and SA Larry Moss. Moss does not want Bauer and Walker to get the secret service mole's family involves. Then then calls Bauer out for the way that torture has effected his life. The next comes after Walker pretends to harm the woman's baby. she is clearly disturbed by what she has done. When Bauer asks her if she is okay, she says that she is not. Bauer then asks if she can continue she ways no, but she will wait until tomorrow before she gives up.
Like Bauer has done so many times, she does not want to be doing this, she is not a torturer. But this is what she has to do, it is her duty to protect America.
Finally, by my count, season 7 has now tied season 5 and 6 in total number of torture acts carried out by terrorists.
